A NEW FOCUS FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING ONLINE

We would like to propose a new name and website for a Cystic Fibrosis charty or research organization (which can initially be built around a specific event, with a website to publicise and support it), with the prime purpose of raising awareness, providing information and attracting charitable funds. The new name could be used very effectively to build a new force in CF charity awareness.

To this end we have researched different names for their availability as a brand, a trademark and as a domain name. We initially were aiming at a name that would help focus on looking positively at Cystic Fibrosis, and settled on the following name.

This name has tremendous potential as a charity worldwide, for the following reasons.

In the English language it makes one think of one of the worlds most beautiful flowers, the rose. This is a hugely positive image, because of the flower's role in romance, in gift giving and in the emotions of birth, sickness and bereavement. Most of all it is something that can express that most heartfelt of feelings - Love and devotion to a loved one and to a child. It is a fixture of Valentine’s Day and are central to the grandest of romantic gestures, a bouquet. It is at once intimate, personal and close to the heart. It also literally means Fibrosis in almost every European language. German, Spanish, French.

This means it’s appeal and profile is global, and will be easy to establish on the Internet. There are 40,000 instances of the word on the Google search engine. You will have no difficulty establishing the charity both nationally and international, gaining the quick support of those living with Cystic Fibrosis, their families and supporters. CF needs this kind of image and approach to bring the subject more attention. It is worth it’s weight in gold as a name to open doors and open hearts.

Of course its potential for building the CFF an international brand is limitless - The Words Cystic Fibrosis Foundation translate differently in Europe and South America (and indeed may conflict directly with the organization in that coutry.
